The purpose of the Alternative Provision Team is to extend the provision available to best meet the needs of individual students. We are able to provide high quality alternative provision placements in a variety of educational settings as well as tuition that is tailored around the individual student. Our aim is to support our students in accessing a package of education that will best allow them to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence that will enable them to become more successful within education and wider society. This is a small alternative provision department based within their own area at the main college. They have a very experienced team of staff that are dedicated to providing an excellent standard of education and support to all their school age students. Alongside GCSE English and Mathematics, students will also study qualifications in Sports, Public Services, IT, and Work Skills. Students are also able to select a vocational option to study that can include Motor Vehicle Studies, Health and Social Care, Barbering, Hair and Beauty, Plumbing, Joinery, Electrical and Fabrication and Welding.
National Careers Week is a celebration of careers guidance and free resources in education across the UK. The aim is to provide a focus for careers guidance at an important stage in the academic calendar to help support young people leaving education. For more info click here.
