Due to the unprecedented number of permanent exclusions in Bradford we have temporarily created a remote learning group of 12 students. They will have access to a session of English and a session of Maths each day. This will be supplemented by the use of Century learning to support the work that is done in the remote sessions. Students will move from the remote learning package when a place becomes available at the Bungalow where they will access face to face learning, and from there then move onto one of the main sites at Aireview or Jesse St. Students will receive at least one safeguarding visit per week from our safeguarding team, and will also be supported to access extra-curricular activities in their local community where appropriate.
Intent
The Remote Learning package at Bradford AP Academy aims to build engagement, trust, and positive relationships for all our students. Our curriculum is flexible and responds to the needs of our learners – essentially ensuring that all students work towards age-appropriate expectations - whilst identifying knowledge gaps.
Our curriculum is based on the KS3 & KS4 subject expectations within the national curriculum and develops Oracy as a key skill for success in future learning.
The foundation of students’ success is built from robust testing and opportunities for a multi-faceted approach to learning.
